O CAMINHEIRO DE SINTRA (Night walking tours)

  • Friday, August 3, 2018:
    Under the Light of Romanticism
    Meeting point: Miradouro da Correnteza
    Saturday, August 4, 2018:
    Shadows from Other Centuries
    Meeting point: Quinta da Regaleira

    Registration required to: producaoaurafestival@gmail.com

Two nights in which the eyes of the contemporaries will look to the past with other habits and other eyes. Using the light and the shadow in cadency words by the penumbra and the landscape, these two walks look for the pulsar of the fantasy; the faint lights of the 19th century in Sintra (night of August 3), and the shadows of times more distant and more hidden from the present view and light (night of Agust 4).

The experiences of some historical figures (known from books or only from anonymous and intimate writings) will be evoked through stretches of their lives, interweaving improvisations with the landscape and the artistic facilities of AURA - a unique way to travel to Sintra's past.
